For type, property, distribution and reserve of energy are key factors reflecting the human’s environmental features, so the American scholars Rifkin and Howard proposed this concept. They consider that changes of the social history are determined by the energy environment. Each specific type of the energy requires a specified technical mode, which is corresponding to specific manufacturing modes and lifestyles.
